Why Membership?

Faith Assembly Church is a community of believers and we value membership. As believers we are to live our lives in the context of the local church. In the same way that the physical body has different interconnected members, Paul tells us that we are members of one another. While you could remain a guest at Faith... the real value of being connected to a body of believers begins with membership.

Here are a few reasons why:
Membership implies a commitment to the Faith Assembly Church family. It’s your way of saying, “Count on me!”. In turn, our leadership promises to commit to meet your spiritual needs. That’s our way of saying, “You can count on us!”. Membership helps you move from simply attending to becoming... we like to call it transformation... and this process is illustrated in several ways.

1. Ownership- As a member Faith Assembly Church becomes home... your church.

2. Relationship- As a member you become responsible to God to love Him by loving people... cultivating relationships.

3. Embracing Purity- As a member you are expected to connect with God... and connecting with God will always result in a purification of your heart.

4. Choosing to Serve- As a member you are expected to look for needs to meet and people to encourage.

5. Growing in Christ- Maturity is a natural process and spiritual development is expected of members. Attending services, trainings, and classes are essential for results.

6. Generosity- “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:21 We serve a generous God and therefore our giving is directed as “unto the Lord”. As a member your giving is an extension of worship and a life-style we actively pursue.
